Is the storm really red?..…I heard on tv that a storm had hit Karbala and stopped the US soldiers from continuing…wow…:rotato:

It is that red in real life. One of my memories from living in Jeddah was being stuck at school in a sandstorm. When looking outside, it was so red that it reminded me of photos that I had seen of the landscape on Mars.

Sandstorm in Jeddah, that red? What year are you talking about?

Forget Iraq, Jeddah. I was going north of Dera Ismail Khan once towards Peshawar. And on the way (around Pezu) a standstorm rose. It was bright sunny day (no clouds) and from distance we could see this big brownish-red cloud which was so high it reminded you of scene from Mummy when the mummy comes in form of standstorm. Anyway we moved forward and suddenly the Storm came closer and closer and it hit us. Trust me.......... I couldn't see my hand. We were in the back of a public transport and were lying open to the sand hitting our faces. I had to make use of my chador to cover my face. The datsun was moving at snails pace and the bright sunny day had turned into a reddish-brown hell........... It was like magic. Not like light colors but very dark reddish-brown.... This went on for around 15 minutes and suddenly everything was clear and it started to rain so heavily you won't believe............
