Looks like GEO covered this one. Do you think we, abroad, will finally get to see Kara on TV?
Re: Karafilm 2005
I saw a few shots from the festival but not sure if they will put it up. They should think of showing other programs besides the NEWS.
Re: Karafilm 2005
I'm not too impressed with the Kara film fest this time around. They should be kicked where it hurts for lacking even the most basic kind of self respect!
Re: Karafilm 2005
Well if there weren't many Pakistani films made this year in the first place, is that Kara's fault or filmmaker's in general?
Re: Karafilm 2005
It's not about the number of Pak films.
Re: Karafilm 2005
I really don't have gripe about the selection of films. but if kara is going to become more high profile, I would like to see films from lots of different countries. Right now, it seems as though 90% of the films are from india and other 10% coming from rest of the world.
Re: Karafilm 2005
naaahhh...it's not abt the no. of pak movies...it's abt how they treat 'em...look things fell apart n pehla pehla pyar was not shown...just a curtain raiser...plus they wur over pampering n xaggeratig th indian guests...i hate that bhatts anywez...
Re: Karafilm 2005
^^ Yup that too after the pampered guests gave some arrogant speeches, and then just LEFT after that! Talk about false pride.

Looks like there are only 4 Pakistani productions to speak of at an event that featured well over 150 productions. Pehla Pehla Pyar is not even featured in this article.
Women of the Holy Kingdom - by Sharmeen Chinoy (documentary)
Khamoshi - by Imran Patel under Atiqa Odho’s “Odho productions”
Death of Comedy - documentary by Shaan Taseer
Shah Rukh Khan ki Maut - by Ehtashamuddin, and produced by Arjumand Raheem.
Wow, now that’s a high number of productions. Comon producers and directors of Pakistan, don’t overwhelm us now… (sarcasm intended).
Re: Karafilm 2005
Interestingly, there were movies made in 2005 shown at this film festival in Europe which were not shown in Kara?
