Yup, it's a miniature compared to the real one I guess, but the Bahadurbad roundabout has been given a major uplift due to this. Looks nice.

BAHADURABAD, SHARAFABAD & BAHADURYAR JUNG SOCIETY have a large number of residents who are ancestorily from HYDERABAD DECCAN and it is to pay tribute to the great monument CHARR MINAR of Hyderabad Deccan-India that the community has surrected a replica at the main roundabout of Bahadurabad...which adds to the beauty of that area and wreaks some good memories of DECCAN by the veterans.
Speaking of DECCAN.. I strongly recommend reading of a wonderful book titled "ASIFJAH" and you'll know how this noble man..though known to be a miser as well... helped PAKISTAN stand on its foot in 1947 when he provided staggering funds to the then, teething Pakistan.
Some of my best (& true) friends are Deccanis...ancestorily.

last year i was fortunate to be in Hyd while the Nizam’s Jewellery exhibition was on at Salarjung Museum.. omg those heeray and rubies were something to behold! the pic below does no justice to that amazing collection!
hyd has a past that reads like a fairy tale :love: the architecture is marvellous, chowmahalla is a palace that’s influenced by persian architecture, falaknuma palace is a rare blend of english tudor and italian architecture, from what i have read. did u know mecca masjid is so named because the central arch is made of bricks brought from Mecca.. everything in Hyd has its own story.

And I think becasue of the construction of this mosque, the roundabout will remain roundabout for the forseeable future as more than 90% of the lush green roundabouts have succumbed to growing traffic during last 18 years.

masjid on a round-about, what a genius idea.... there is a saying in Urdu "khuda ganjay ko naakhun na de" (may God not give nails to a bald).... or probably "bandar ke haath mai nariyal" is more appropriate for some city management overflowing with funds.

i mean mosque and traffic. i always thought prayers are more than just making gestures 
ps. i adore alot things related to architecture but this idea is no good. i think it should be something else…but mosque…no
