Aliyish, Karachi kay baarey men nazam (pardon the word since I am not a shayeri parson having not grown up in Pakistan) is much to the point. I heard a similar one by a poet who came to Dallas many years ago from India. He read a poem (written by someone else?) about Karachi. That was a VERY heart-felt shaer. This poet's name was Azad.

Janu: am off for the rest of the week. Tumhari zeest ko jab aakey daikhuN ga. chupaana mat. Dhikaao gi na? nahi dikhaao gi to kheench kheench kay daikhuN ga. jab tak apni zeest ko saMbhaal kay rakhna examination kay liey.
