I am in Karachi these days looking for wedding dresses. Yes, you heard it right.
If you know of any good options for designers that can do a quality dress at a proper place, please post their locations, and contact numbers, etc. I am looking in Karachi only, so please only Karachi based businesses. We have some references from extended family members, but to be honest, if I can get a good list of like 20 places to visit and choose from, I can pick something out.
I am looking for quality fabric, comfort, good tailoring, and reliable delivery.
I’d honestly prefer for the item to be ready made, ready to go, and I just pick it up and re-size it / alter it for my body shape. Preferably the designer should be able to provide these services.
I have also heard of and seen in the past places where you can get pre-embroidered wedding outfits and all you have to do is put it together with a tailor.
I’ll be in Karachi for a few weeks, then coming back. This is the most I could get in terms of time off. Don’t have the luxury of going back to pick up the dress. I will need to have it shipped most likely; don’t even really rely on my relatives bringing it over, because what if luggages get lost etc. Some companies are great about shipping and others screw it up.
Please just list the contact of the name/designer/boutique/aunty/facebook page of the business, that you’ve had a good experience with. Not interested in big names unless they are able to provide the wedding dress for less than 5,000 USD. Even that is too much, the cheaper the better. Ideally < 1000 USD, but I don’t know what the going rates of quality dresses even are over there.
