Iv been on the websites for PC, Sherraton and Avari…but I cant find the rates for hiring them out for weddings. Im getting married next July iA and need to make a decision asap…but the websites are useless!
Could any of u guys help me as to how much it costs to rent the hotel for the shaadi…I understand the per head cost will vary according to the menu we choose but is there a separate cost for hiring the venue?

i have Avari khi latest packages file in pdf format. Send me ur email address and i can email these to u.
I went in feb to find out charges, I don't remember Avari as the hall had limited capacity and they suggested putting up a marquee outside but i refused as they had an open pool next to the proposed location - I'm pretty convinced a kid could fall into it but they didn't care!
We went with the marriott (khi) who have waivered the cost of the hall based on us booking 3 days worth of events with them in July this year, they're just charging us for the cost of the food per person which has worked out to be almost Rs1000. Decoration etc is additional.
By the way good things you've started looking now as these halls get booked up VERY quickly by foreigners (including myself). We went in Feb to make arrangements. And while we were waiting at PC someone booked a date in December 2010! Now that's some planning!!
Anyway congratulations and best of luck finding a venue.

AAAA thanx so much. Iv printed off all the info and mum seems to like Avari a lot. Im still trying to push for a wedding in England...so things are up in the air. I just think, not living in Pak im rally going to struggle to arrange things the way i want.

Anyhow thank u sooo much.
u r right. U will really struggle if u wana arrange all the things as u want and u have no one who understands ur requirement fully and if u will reach pakistan just a month b4 ur wedding. The same is happening to me.
furthermore, security is a big ? in pakistan. I mean normal decoits, robbery etc. Its really ur own decision but i would say: if u can do it in england, then go for it. As u would not have to worry about security as is the case in karachi now a days.
