I posted this long time back - i hate this project now they say they are going to take away the public sea..and charge money for them to go there..that sucks big time!

I mean it costs money to maintain beaches and since Pakistan is a poor country they need revenue from other means to do so...

Its sad but thats the reality of a world going increasingly privatized

i dont know why u guys complaining so much. theyre gonna develop it and make it into a nice proper waterfront like EVERY other country in the developed world has. its going to be much better than the dirty trashy polluted beachfront there is now. Go to ANY european or american city they ALL have developed coastlines..
what exactly is so bad about developing the khi waterfront what is everyone so scared of??

Yes Pakistan is a poor country and poor countries have poor people who only get the beaches as free way of entertainment and now if the rich people take that freedom away from them as well then where are they going to go? and i guess you dont know but people already pay 10-20 rupees for the entrance...and when this waterfront is made for the rich people poor people wont benefit from it.

i completely disagree with u.. with that sort of argument u might as well then never develop anything at all..
truth is everyone will benefit from development . maybe not immediately the poor ppl but it will create many jobs and there will be a trickle down effect. and also no one has said that "poor ppl are banned from the waterfront" so why is everyone just assuming that
and the area which they are making this thing is right now all like empty or has a few beach huts or those dirty little villages u see on the way to the beach. it needs to be developed. see more on it over here:
