I think you can order one of those cabs from these newly established radio cab companies here. That would be cheaper for you. And you can engage them for the whole day whenever you need a cab.

And one thing more, do not carry too much cash or valuable things here. And do not show off any of your belongings! I remember the tv ad in London " do not show your mobile to theives" This applies very much to Karachi these days.
