That's like saying the best club in the world best National team in the world? Karachi will be destroyed, well maybe they won't by Australia. This Karachi team you guys have came up with is pretty impressive.
I wish there was proper club cricket, with all the top name players playing every game for only their clubs. Imagine watching a Karachi vs. Lahore game. It would be Manchester United vs. Arsenal.

hmmm interesting you didnt pick Younis Khan. He is from Malir Karachi and played his club cricket with Malir gymkhana.
Also i'd give Hasan Raza a certain plac in the side- may be at the expense of Afridi.

I forgot about Younis Khan, I would probably replace Farhad Adil & Fasial Iqbal with Younis Khan & Hasan Raza. I kept Afridi & Tanvir Ahmed because they are both allrouder. I don't know if there are any other good allrounder playing in Karachi.

I cant believe they dropped Hasan Raza. He scored 50s in each inngine against the Aussies and he gets a chop in return.
His technique and temprament is recognized by past legends from all over the world. I remmeber Ian Chappel comparing his cover drives with Miandad's in the Inside Edge magazine, and this was when Hasan was only 17. I dont think Pakistan afford to drop the players of his calibre. He is an exceptional fieldsman too.
Conclusion: Hasan Raza is has the potential but he is paying the price for being from Karachi. Aamir Sohail and his committe is full of morons.
^ I think there may be some regional bias involved, but to assume that it has entirely to do with regional bias is incorrect. How come a great players like Misbah Ul Haq, Muhammad Akram, Mushy Ahmed, Aqib Javed (5yrs ago), and the Farhat bros never get a chance from the PCB while Afridi came back over and over again? Actually it has more to do with sifarishi garbage and unfortunately the players in Karachi don't have the influence with the current board. But yes there likley is still an element of regional bias involved which is really unfortunate. In order to completely eliminate both sifarash and regional favouratism the selection process should be completely transparent and there should be an independant body that reviews selected players and the actions of PCB selectors. I bet Junaid Zia would'nt have made it far with such a system....

-> I agree with you 100%, PCB must learn from there mistakes, reshaping domestic cricket should be the 1st priority.
->While PCB is trying to re-invest cricket other countries like Bangladesh, Kenya, and Netherlands are focusing on domestic circuit. Bangladeshi batsman Rajin Salah is an example of that system which is adopted by these nations.
-> I agree with you Siferashi, politics and regional bias will only hurt Pakistani Cricket.
-> As far as Pakistani National Squad, I think PCB should bring Saeed bin Nazir and try him as #2, Yasir Hameed as #1 and Yousef Youhana should stay on #3.
I think my team can beat Bangladesh, what you think?

^ I would agree that this team would beat BD and likley even Zimbabwe. Especially with Saaed playing as the opener. I have always maintaned that Saeed is one of the truly great players of the modern era.
It would be great if we had a good Domestic League with teams from different cities. Our Domestic League alone would be good enough to keep people happy and we would'nt have to worry about South Africa cancelling there tours. you could probably even make 3 or 4 teams in Lahore and Karachi each, just like London has a bunch of soccer teams.
You could have teams in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawer, Hyderabad and so on,,,
The one Karachi player I would think of adding to this lineup is Farhan Adil, he has been quickly forgotten by the selectors after his one shot against BD
