I am going to PK Friday and will be in Karachi on Saturday at 2 o clock in the night. I was planning to stay a few days by my aunty and then go to multan via flight. But due personal reasons i do not want to visit my cuisins and aunty. I didn’t see them for 25 years and thus i:don’t feel comfortable.
I have never been to Karachi before. The next flight to Multan is after almost 20 hours.
i want to go by road to Multan. Does anybody have any advice how to plan that? Does a train go to multan or a bus a secure one? Or should i take a cab and is that secure? I did try to look for some good hotels but can’t book as there is no room available on the 10th of Nov. What can i do as long it is secure?
it all depends whether you are traveling alone or family? for a woman traveling alone in India and Pakistan is NOT a good idea, especially someone who can be identified as a foreigner by his/her dressing style or the baggage he/she is carrying.
road travel in the sub-continent is not the safe.
i think you better stay at the airport and take a flight to Multan because the amount of time you will spend on bus/train will be longer than by plane. besides, you may have to wait for the bus...may even be a LONNNNG wait.
Male, alone. Thanks every1... I also was thinking to stay in the airport for that time and then taking the next Pia flight to multan. Btw, it akes 21 hours by road to Multan. I don't understand why this schedule from PIA. Why they don't adjust the conneaction they have good connections to lahore/Islamabad/Karachi and not to Multan :(. They can plan the daily flight to multan in the morning instead of Evening.

Karachi is the business centre...people [businessmen] come to Karachi in the morning, do their business during the day and return in the evening...this is the reason why!
if Multan was also a big business centre, the traffic would flow equally in both directions. airlines usually cater to business class first. general travelers come in second.
Daewoo me even girls can travel alone it’s that safe but depends on route also and you don’t have to wait for the bus they depart on time and if you are late they won’t wait for you.

i heard so many accidents involving Volvo buses due to speeding on Highways to Murree from Islamabad.
