Anyone heard of this? There are two songs out for it, and they’re not bad. It’s a musical - broadway type stage play.
Has anyone seen these sort of plays in Karachi? Supposedly, there is a growing trend of theatre (broadway type plays) in Karachi.

Re: Karachi: the Musical
I read its review in October 25th ‘Dawn’. Seems a good idea. I think it is still being played at ‘Arts Council Karachi’.
Edit:
Re: Karachi: the Musical
When I saw “Karachi: The Musical”… I immediately thought of “Chicago”!
Is it something similar? Apart from having a city’s name and being a musical?
Re: Karachi: the Musical
Why not? Haven't there been musicals made of large, congested dirty cities before? Need I remind you of London's setting for Sweeny Todd, or the setting of plague ridden middle age Europe for so many stories?
As much as Karachi is in it's dark ages, this is probably the best time for there to be stories made. I'm not surprising during these dark days is the time when underground cinema and street theatre is beginning to sprout.
With TV being taken over by advertisors and housewife writers with connections, and wannabe bollywood producers, there has to be a social outlet for honest expression uninhibited by the bias of those who don't really reflect the society they live in (ex. nearly everyone writing a drama serial these days).
