Karachi retaurant

I went out to Karachi restaurant on Neal street which I believe is the first restaurant open in Bradford UK. Anyway just recommending it to any one here in yorkshire. I was a bit scetical about it at first in a run down area looks like a house and tacky from outside. Inside isnt much better either no menu’s just boards on the wall. Nothing like Mumtaz on great horton road. But the food was fabulous nothing tasted quite as good as this beats mumtaz, kashmir, and internatiional. You have to give it a try, you’ll be hooked !

Desis really need to work on decor. Most of the desi restaurants that I've been to look horrible.

I personally don't like eating out at desi restaurants much. I usually only get kabab parathas and sometimes biryani. That's about it.

Depends on type of restuarants. Take Mumtaz (www.mumtaz.co.uk) or Anams (www.anams.co.uk) they look fab from the inside but you pay for it in the price even with the massive competiton in Bradford. Most people tend to go with friends or family to dine. Quite a lot of people from outside Bradford including me and my family. But as a student at Bradford now you tend to go to the places the locals do and karachi is one of them. You get good food not decor. Must be doing something right it was on Rick Steins food guide with people coming every week since the 1960's.
