I just want to get some info regarding receiving your container of goods at the karachi sea port. we are shifting to karachi for good from qatar and going to shift our home..we have no idea what happens there, what sort of documentation is required. Anyones relatives or friends in customs can they just help me out to get an idea whats the procedure.

u need a shipper that will ship ure freight to pakistan... you should be able to find loads online. theywill pack ure stuff for you, know about what documentation u need, and all the rules.. and not to forget, insurance!
when ure stuff arrives at karachi port, you should seriously have someone there receiving ure goods and having them cleared at customs... just so nothing gets stolen cuz oh my god do things get stolen!
we had stuff shipped from arabia.. and totally forgot to have someone there at customs overlooking the clearance.. half of our stuff was missing when we got it.. empty cartons and whatnot.

you should get TR form from pak embassy to have less customs there in pak. soon after you ship it, know the port reaching date, have a good agent clear your shipment at karachi

for personal stuff i dont think you needs any documents apart from tr from pakistani embassy and Bill of lading or shipping document which is supplied by your shippers
