I just mentioned something that happened. gave a statement that the punjabi person said to me…and asked for peoples opinions.

you know what, I think I may actually agree with him. u guys are very sharp with da tongue man. minus Anwaar…

If I was sharp I would’ve used inappropriate language, which I did not. I’m generally not the type of person who would use ‘sharp/inappropriate’ language.

Also, I’d like to know who made the following statement:

apparently the karachi people are jealous of Punjabis…and they can even go as far as killing them simply cuz they’re punjabi (some terrorist act). is this true?

This is such BS. My whole family is all from Punjab and have been living and commuting between Karachi, Punjab and the rest of the world for eternity now. We never had any problems. This is just BS. Karachi rocks, though Islamabad/Pindi and Lahore do have their own charm.

This is not BS. I never knew that there was such deep rooted anger among the Karchiets for the Punjabis untill I came to US. My very first semester in Uni, while I was standing in line to register for the classess. This "desi" guy( I did not know he was from Karachi) was behind me. I asked him if he was from Pakistan, he replied yes. I needed some help filling out the form so I asked him if he could help me. His reply was "Where are you from?". I replied lahore. He told me, I cannot help "chupaiys". You know what he got for that...a black eye and a broken nose. Than he brought his older brother to rough me up. I whopped the crap out both of them and sent them packing. This was not the first or the last clash between Karchiets and the punjabis and sadly its real and still exist.

Well there was a point id you spoke Hindi in some of Inidia’s southern provinces they’d bash you up. South Indians meanwhile take pride in NOT speaking Hindi even when they know it ;), now I know all you patriotic Bhartees will deny that…but denial is really the best form of validation eh?

See, the North Indies consider the South Indians “lower castes”, lower than even their untouchables, coz they are dravidians while the northerners consider themselves Aryans. It stems from that too.

There a lot more to this…wish if i had the time. Gotta sign out now!

I've had friends from Karachi and most of them are really great. Overall, I think all of the karachi people I've met are great, especially guppies. They gave me so much love and respect when I was visiting Karachi. They even cancelled their personal plans just to give me some company so I don't get bored in a totally strange city where I have no relatives or real friends :)

If you think people from Karachi are stupid or people from Punjab are stupid, think again because it's not because they are from Karachi or vice versa, it's just that they are just plain stupid and such people can be found everywhere.
