My husband recently took daewoo coach from Karachi to Islamabad and back. He said it wasn't bad and was on time/fast. They have their own stops with restrooms etc. He was advised against taking the train.
Daewoo is like 4000 rupees one way I think.
i heard Business Express is the best of all the trains...it takes 14 hours. it's an overnight train...it' a bit more expensive but kinda luxury train. i think the fare is Rs. 5000 each way in the Highest class of service which gives you an berth to sleep in an air conditioned coach...the food is served free of charge [included in the fare].
Yeah I heard about the Pak Business Express. Just wanted to know has anyone travelled on the Pak Business express what were your thoughts? We are thinking to go on the Business package, it's looks good value for money, and we will have some family so we can hire the whole cabin

I regularly travel from Karachi to Lahore on different trains. In fact I just returned from Lahore a couple of hours ago via Karakoram Express. The best train is definitely Pak Business Express followed by Karakoram Express, then Night Coach Express and Shalimar Express.
Pak Business Express (PBE) service is great because:
They have well behaved staff (of course its a private service so if staff is not well behaved, they will kick them out).
PBE is maintaining time really well.
PBE get new locomotive so chances of engine fail is minimal.
AC works great
If for some reason, train is departing late, they inform you by sms and call so you don't reach early and wait till new departure time.
Their waiting lounge is Air conditioned
Wi-Fi service is available with Business Class.
Good security measures, each coach has a security guard.
No one without ticket can board train, neither they allow people to travel on open tickets. All train go seat by seat.
They don't book the passage seats
Water Dispenser, Microwave oven is available free of cost.
i traveled by PBE last week, great service.
right on time, washrooms were never out of water supply, non-stop wifi, unlimited supply of tea with no additional cost, not-so-bad food (included in fare), over all good cleanliness, garbage bins were emptied 3 times during my journey from lahore to karachi. good thing is passage seats are available for anyone to use, no reservations there, also 2 power socket in every cabin of 6, charge your phone/laptop, brows internet and have fun while you reach on time
