Walking with pride, passion and an aim to clean the places which are filled with garbage its not the local government or the government road cleaning parties rather these are the volunteer students of Indus Valley school,Karachi. Students and local volunteers came up with fully loaded paint box,brushes,garbage bags to clean Street 33 of Clifton Block 2. IVS students got this idea from our neighboring state India. The “Ugly Indian” campaign was similar to this in India which attracted IVS student and thus they picked this positive idea. Ugly Indian campaign organizers gather people to clean different areas of India and bring a healthy change in the living environment of the local people.
On the 8th of November, 80 First Year students of Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture decided enough was enough as they stepped out to conquer the 100foot long wall of garbage that lead to their college. 7 hours later, they had completely transformed the street!
