Karachi and mobile snatching

I have a new iPhone 6.. Im going to Karachi and very scared about my phone. Should I not take it? Reply.

Re: Karachi and mobile snatching

LOL. I’m sure people there must have iPhones too. Take it but just don’t wave it around in people’s faces, as people can snatch it, on bikes for example.

Re: Karachi and mobile snatching

We were always told to keep our phones in our purse, otherwise you’re setting yourself up to have your phone stolen. If you don’t absolutely need to take it with you, take a cheap one/buy a cheap one + a sim card when you get there.

Re: Karachi and mobile snatching

Ive always wondered what about people vlogging in Pakistan. Like Aleem (aint calling him the Lord lol) and Yasmin Karimi. Wouldn’t people try and snatch their cameras?

Once contemplated taking my Canon DSLR. Didn’t though.

Re: Karachi and mobile snatching

My friends in karachi have two phones. One cheap Nokia wala and one expensive one. They keep the expensive one on the floor of the car and the Nokia wala in their hands.

Re: Karachi and mobile snatching

I had a dude from karachi do a photo walk in lahore and he was flabbergasted we were out with our dslrs in the open with no police guards.

Re: Karachi and mobile snatching

I also keep two phones. One is for potential mugging. Cousin and her husband were just recently robbed of phones, cash etc recently, and it happens quite frequently. They usually get you when you’re stuck in traffic or at a light. Always good to have something to give and if it’s too cheap they will know so always keep some cash for give away as well.
