Try telling someone you caught this 40ft fish that’s as big as a whale - because they’re unlikely to believe you.But that’s exactly what a group of fishermen will be saying after landing this monster from the deep in the Arabian Sea.Pictures emerged today of the giant whale shark reeled in and brought to port in the Pakistani city of Karachi.

Crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the beast - believed to be one of the biggest ever caught - as it was hauled out of the water at Charai Fishery.
Two cranes were brought in to pull the eight ton shark’s carcass out. But that failed, so eventually another crane was brought in to complete the task.

Who killed this huge beautiful mammal ?

I didn't know sharks were that big.

Are you sure they are not calling a whale a shark ?

Apparently there was a big issue about the price of the dead fish.

What will they do with it ?

They say it was found unconscious some 150 kms away from the fishery and was then hauled in after about 10 days.

And its a whale shark, not just a shark or just a whale.

And yes it got sold for 1.7 million rupees. What will they do with all that dead fish meat? :hmmm:

Wow. Would that meat be halaal to eat or are they going to use the fish for other industrial purposes (whatever that may be) ?

I want to say Mashallah at seeing this beautiful sea creature .... but the poor thing is dead. This makes me very, very sad.
