Why do I have a feeling that this movie for some reason is or might be an effort but still the person has not really done a great job at it - I just hope that a movie about such a great personality the only person who has probably done the nation proud (for winning the world cup) isnt shown in some B-grade usual lollywood movie...the guy playing his character has probably a little resemblance to Imran Khan because of his face structure but still he give a bit of driver ki feeling...Imran Khans hair is not chapat like that...and I hope he doesnt sound paindo...oh please dont ruin Imran Khans personality...cant wait to see more trailers now...to see what to expect for...

same here. with elections coming up soon and Imran Khan currently leading in popularity (good for him!) I wonder if this will give his party a boost?

Methinks this is a no-budget production, and given all those constraints they've still put together a half-decent cast that bears a good degree of resemblance and have a decent soundtrack at hand. Regardless of how it turns out to be, yours truly will be hitting the theaters to give it a look. Hope it gets the nod from the real Kaptaan too. The best bit is that we're finally acknowledging our legends while they're alive

Another point -
Since all the power elites are against and so afraid of IK, if this movie is a tribute, will they let it release in theaters ?
Or will it have to be released in India to embarrass average Pakistanis because of all the corruption at the top ?

Yeah, it may not find distribution in Pakistan because of the factors you have suggested, I have no doubt it will have a good degree of commercial appeal given Imran's popularity, enough to give the film a good opening. Already it has aroused much curiosity and honestly, "Allah hu" was the deal breaker in favor of the movie for me. It has been sung by Ali Azmat and Sami Yusuf, but this version is fresh and will go very well with the movie. Just hoping it gets distribution in Pakistan. Even if not, I'm sure Imran Khan/Tehrik Insaf voters all over the country (they're cropping everywhere now) will find a way to watch this one. Keeping my fingers crossed.
