KANK at Toronto Film Festival

So KANK was showed at Toronto Film Festival…It’s a big deal because it’s now one of the biggest festivals in the world…and almost all of “who’s who” of Hollywood is or was here this week…

Karan Johar..Shah Rukh and Amitabh came… I was actually there and took pics with them :0) …

Butttt… I think it didn’t garner as much attention as they would’ve hoped for…I can hardly see anything written about it on the net… about how it went…only Mahiram has a small article on them…I don’t even know how the Mavericks session went…

It’s good exposure…ifff you get it… I saw their press conference and it was pretty good… Both Karan and Shah rukh did a good job…

Did anyone else go or see them in T.O?

Re: KANK at Toronto Film Festival

it’s a big deal for who? :konfused: Bollywood? Its already acknowledged as world’s biggest fim industry..Toronto is backwaters by comparison, Canadian Film Industry is next to nil statistacally speaking as compared to it…

Re: KANK at Toronto Film Festival

The Toronto Film Festival is not just for Canadian Films. It has productions from all over the world...

Re: KANK at Toronto Film Festival

^ I agree. It gets good exposure for Bollywood. The better Bollywood movies get subtitled & sent for overseas exhibition (to non-Hindi speaking people).

Re: KANK at Toronto Film Festival

I was dying to see the pictures of Khan, Bachchan, and Johar and Abraham and Basu in the Film Fest section of Toronto star but only John Abraham's piture was there when he was trying some Timberland jacket :) ...and they did write about the movie and its stars but that was it...no photos of any stars presented in the festival or when the movie was on....it could be an Exposure IF and WHEN you actually attend the movie festivals but i think in the media, they are under-exposed. there are other movies from different countries which are far better portrayed than KANK is..Even on the TIFF website, i saw only Tabu and Mira Nair in one of the pictures and no other stars were shown in the Stars Gallery Section of TIFF
