“…When we come to a country like Pakistan and are subjected to a spin bowler – who is a club-level bowler – we see the whole range of different deliveries, alternatives and variations he has developed which we can’t grasp.”
Lets think for a moment that its true that he meant it for anyone one of shoaib or danish then how pathetic SA batsmen are that they cant even handle a “club” level bowler.
At one side he is emphasizing on SA being 2nd best team in the world and on the other hand then they cant even handle club level bowlers! Phewww!
How about SA’s attack (whole attack other than Pollock) is a club level attack as they can only perform good on their choice of wickets.
what can one say other than “khisyani billi khamba nochey”
I don’t know but I found SA a different side this time I watched them. They were my favorites (after Pakistan of course) and I always liked their behavior on and off the field, But not this time.
I guess captain has major part to play in the team’s behavior. Smith may be a good player but he is not proving to be a good captain as whole. Keeping aside what Cronje did and why he was banned he always used to be calm, cool and in control. He used to enjoy success and accept the defeat as gentleman.

South Africa under Cronje were @ their peak and had the potential to be the best.
Along with S Waugh, I regard him a great captain.
S Pollock also was a decent captain, Graham Smith on the other hand is too young and doesn't know what he is doing most of the times.

Well, it only proves what sore losers these South Africans are. I hate this shameless SA team, it has got no character.
Atleast the Aussie give you the credit after they lose.

Agreed bhayee,,
they are jalous, coz they cannot even prodcue one club level spinner for them selves. they used to rely of Symcox before and now there onlykey is Adams...

Hear, hear!!!
South Africa will wait for a very long time to see another Hansie Cronje.
Re: Kaneria (?) - Club Level Spinner (South Africa Coach -Eric Simmons)
First they show that they are sore loosers, secondly if we assume for a second that he is right then he admits that they were not able to play club level bowler which is very pathetic
Simons wasn't referring to Kaneria or Malik. He meant that even the club-level spinners South Africa faced in warmup matches and nets were better than anything they were used to back home. It should be taken as a compliment. He admitted that our club bowlers confounded their test batsmen.
