this looks very interesting and promising! Finally a movie with a different story than the usual terrorism/women being mistreated. seriously there are a thousand stories we can make films on and this looks like a beginning....

Love to see Mohib in a mvoie.
A lot of our TV artists are movie material, talent wise and looks wise.
It's time for Pakistani cinema to come out of the abyss of last 30 years and become stylish.

A simple (and good) Irani film like 'Separation' won the best foreign Golden Globe award with limited release in US.
This, when America and Israel are Iran's jaani dushman.
Pakistanis can make a thousand such films, looking at the material on TV these days. But where is the vision and will ? I don't believe these Irani movies are made on large budgets.

You are so right. The reason why Iranian movies work is because of the simplicity of the story lines. When you have a great script and a director that respects it you will get a very strong, intelligent movie. Furthermore Iranian actors and actresses are trained in their field. Most of them are respected theatre artists. When a director manages to bring out the best in the artists, respects the story line and has a great technical crew then you have a beautiful movie. It's impressive because it is really damn difficult to make a movie in Iran because of restrictions and censorship. But due to the brillance of the team most of the movies are WOW!
I remember many years back the veteran Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed Arieh visited Karachi. She was really struggling with that Pakistan is full of thousands of stories, why aren't Pakistani film makers tapping in to that? I can't stress how right she was and is

Because Pakistanis dont want to hear their own stories. Their lives are nightmarish enough - why sit in a theatre and watch it?
