Kamran Akmal or Moin?

How many runs did Akmal make?

Did we win the match with Moin or Akmal in the team? Didn’t Moin drop Sehwag in his historical innings of 309?.

We won the match because we took wickets and scored runs. I don't think there's much difference in the wicketkeeping abilities of the two (Akmal dropped Yuvraj on 97 btw) so for me it comes down to who is best equipped to make runs against India with the bat. If Akmal's a good player of leg spin then fine, if not Moin should play IMO.

Akmal dropped him alright but he took good catches in second innings plus he atleast attempted to make some acrobatic saves down the leg side with succeeding in quite a few.

Xtreme, i was not initially suggesting to hand over to gloves to a young person when the team is rebuilding but Rashi'd recent row with authorities, Moin's jaded presence and Akmal's enthusiasm and an acceptable performance, all combined, changed my mind.

dunno where he has disappeared :(

In the post match analysis on TEN Sports, Sanjay Manjerakar asked Rameez the exact same question and Rameez replied, for what it is worth, that he will suggest to stick with Akmal, because of Akmal's abilities and enthusism.

Ramiz Raja said he would keep Akmal over Moin.

The Game Responds:

*You bunch of sheep(except Mr. Extreme ofcourse), you have your wish granted atleast until the next test. Moin is still injured. People, That Is All.*

Akmal might have dropped Yuvraj's catch but still his techniques and footworks are better than Moin's behind the stumps. I say stick with Akmal and he will only get better. He looked more confident than Moin in my opinion. Players do make mistakes and do drop catches, Healy and Rashid Latif have made mistakes but they are still one of the best keepers to have played the game.

Akmal shows a lot of promise but is still raw and has areas he needs to work on. He should be included on as many tours as possible right now and get the nod for the odd game or so as well.

I wouldn't replace Moin yet. He may not be playing well of late, but noone can reaplce what he brings to the table. As long as we have sust parties like Inzi and Youhana in charge of things, we will need Moin's energy and quick-thinking on the field. He is definitely the engine of our unit.
