Boys dont expect any thing to change until after Aus series. Malik said plainly that they will not introduce new faces for india and aus series.

^ I agree with Malik, it's never a good idea to replace your experienced players with new, inexperienced players just before an important series.
But the next series should be considered last chance for Misbah and akmal. If they don't perform well, kick 'em out.

How Duntoo (Akmal) continues to survive is truly amazing, any other time or place and this poor keeping wud have resulted in immediate dismissal. Never in Pakistan cricketing history have we seen such mediocre wicketkeeping, we have always been blessed with above average keepers Bari, Tasleem Arif, Saleem Yusuf, Rashid Latif, Moin Khan all of these keepers performed their responsibilities with honor and are thus remembered with fond memories. What will history say about Akmal? Iam afraid not anything favorable.
There is no shortage of alternatives, what is lacking is the courage to change and give some new guy a chance. It seems team selection is based on friendships, loyalties and sticking with what u have rather than a professional approach.

Thats strange.. if we can change our openers on per match basis, that most important ingredient of an inning than wots wrong in changing the keeper who is the cause of major errors and let down for the bowlers...

I use to be his supporter but this is indeed getting embarrassing now or may be it is beyond embarrassment. When he dropped Ganguly last night. I didn't know what to do? To laugh, to cry, to pull out my hair or to bang my head against the wall. Not becasue he has been dropping those catches and matches for us but because it beats me that why we are still persisting with a person who has single handedly contributed to several defeats off late.
The guy is so friggin irresponsible that he is not even trying to compensate with his bat. Getting out on a good ball is way different than throwing your wicket. Pakistan had a good start and all they needed from Akmal was to stay with Salman Butt. I don't care if he got a wrong decision. The bottom line is he got out playing a stupid shot which he already tried once couple of overs ago and survived at that time.
I was amazed to see Afridi's expression less face when Akmal dropped Gangu. Probably Afirdi, Kaneria and others have realized that there is no point screaming at Akmal anymore.
Dont we have any other keeper in the enitre country who can replace Kamran? The replacement can't be worse since he has been the worst keeper (performance wise in the last 18 months) I have seen in the history of Pakistan cricket.

^ I am even ready to ask Younus to keep wickets. He can not do any worst than Akmal and we will get one more spot in the team for a batsman or bowlers.

I predict Pakistan is going to lose both one day and test series because of this Joker. I know why he is in the team; Malik has a sort of sympathy with him. He comes from a poor family and must the only source of income and what not. Malik being a 'nice' guy he is giving him chances over chances. He should really think about his country and not just one person. It's not fair.

Like many things in Pakistan, Akmal is in the team due to the TINA factor (There Is No Alternative).

I dont think that is the case. Malik is not that strong of a captain that he can include (or insist on including) Akmal if Selection committee decide to drop Akmal (with so much popular support)
Akmal may belong to a poor family but he is not poor anymore. His bank accounts may have double/triple or more money than accounts of anyone of us working hard from last 10 years or so.

On serious note...... TINA may apply to Mush but not anymore in case of Akmal. I guess today, ANY alternative will be a better alternative ...

^ well if he really wants to keep this clown in the team, then he needs to send him to wicketkeeping bootcamp or something because his performance right now is pathetic! He lacks concentration, like he’s suffering from short attention span or something. Maybe he should call Moin or rashid for some tips before the next match

Pakistan cricket board and selectors are waiting that Kamran Akmal completes the century of catches dropped behind the wickets and then probably they will think of retiring him, he is so close to this unsurmountable record, that it will be a huge injustice with him not to let him complete that record so guys all of us will have to wait and see, he had a good match last night he dropped three catches again and is inching towards his record which if completed will be unbeatable and Kamran Akmal's name will be etched forever on the wall of shame in PCB hallways.GO AKAMAL GO. GO PCB GO.

The guy has kept wickets in 59 test innings and 64 ODIs. His dropped catches/missed stumpings are 2-3 per innings. He must have already crossed the century of dropped catches/missed stumpings long time ago.
