Wanted to inquire whether anyone knows where genuine kamkhwaab fabric is available in Pakistan, if at all. I’ve only ever seen jamawar, and even the most high-end weave isn’t the sort that comes close to what old-time kamkhwaab looks like.
Would somewhere like, say, the original Barkat Ali in Lahore be a good bet?

yes, barkat ali, alfajr, new alfajr, moon banarsi. They are the oldest in this business. Plus, if you have contacts in karachi, Banaras colony in karachi is where all the weaved pure fabrics come from but accessibility is an issue
