Re: Kalonji Oil
^you men..
so nice that you’re taking care of your hair.
yeah, the bottles are barely 3-4 inches tall. apply enough to cover your entire scalp, slightly massaging it onto the hair strands also. keep it in for a few hours and then wash it off with a GOOD mild shampoo. the oil is not greasy at all so it should come off easy.
Re: Kalonji Oil
ok enough to cover scalp, 2-3 times a week. got you!
can i leave it on over night?
yes shikra bhai it's 3 inches here too................

I would check non-desi stores and see if they carry the oil because 4 dollars for that little bottle is expensive. I applied it first time this morning, lets see how it goes.

Re: Kalonji Oil
I saw this tip on tv today.. For an effective results with oils cover your hair with a warm towel after applying the oil. It helps open scalp pores and lets oil work through the scalp more effectively.
Warm towel = just run a towel through warm water and wring extra water.
Re: Kalonji Oil
^ Black seed oil
is it the same as black currant seed oil? :dumb moments:

Yeah, my MIL said to wet the towel and the microwave for a bit.

not sure, did read up on currant seed oil it has the same kind of effects as cumin seed (kalonji).. maybe they r the same?
Re: Kalonji Oil
kalonji is not the same as cumin (zeera).
I've heard that kalonji is onion seed, so then it's probably different from black currant seed.
Re: Kalonji Oil
Someone else gave me the similar totka, to crush methi dana and let it soak into olive oil for a couple of days..i think it came out too thick though so it hasn’t been properly absorbed. Anyways so i got another bottle of kalonji… so i should just put it on the scalp and put another oil on the rest of my ahir? i’v heard kalonji is “garam” so can’t leave it on for long.. ![]()

I think I ll go get some too!
Re: Kalonji Oil
how long does it take to show results
So I bought a couple of bottles of this "miracle" oil the other day. I have only used it a couple of times so far and haven't really noticed a difference (not that I expected to see results so quickly)... I suppose it would take a while before I see a difference.
I have been losing quite a lot of hair lately (mostly due to stress and lack of nutrients)... I have tried some other oils but unfornately none of them really did me any good. Let's wait and see if this particular oil does what it's supposed to (AND that is to help me get back my once BEAUTIFUL, LUSTROUS, THICK hair!)
