Its ABSOLUTELY unislamic to think of a person in such a manner. The concept of being cursed is not what the Rasool (sas) taught us. Iam pretty sure, she did’nt mean anything bad. Whatever happens, happens by the WILL of Allah, by his izn, and not anything else.
However the concept of Nazar is there. Some people when they are overwhelmed by anything the thing gets effected in a very bad way. Hence the Prophet said, whenever u are overwhelmed by any of your belongings you should read:
And you should tell you aunty to read this too, in a polite manner. But thinking that someone is cursed or manhoos is totally illogical, baseless and unislamic.
there is no such thing as kaali zaban. Just a figment of desi stupid culture's backward imagination.
Tell her to say mashallah since it could be nazar.
