An email from someone had this detailed interpretations of a book written by a Hindu priest about Kalki Avatar who is supposed to be a prophet expected by the Hindus. According to research, it is believed that his description closely matches that of Prophet Mohammed (sallallahu alaihiswasallam) in many ways, such as the translations of the names of the parents, location of birth, etc.
So, ummm,
What do you know about him?

that'd be equating the prophet with a hindu god (avatars are incarnations of vishnu). kinda goes against the whole "there is no god but God" part.

I heard that Kalki is like the Mahdi.
I have also heard that Buddha was the prophet Dhul Kifl (as) in the Qur'aan.

I watched a video of Zakir Naik where he was comparing similarities between Islam and Hinduism 
where he also talked about this I believe… let me see if I can find it, I don’t know much about the kalki avatar myself..

They (hindus) have 10 avataars, as of now 9 have already "born" and "gone". Buddha was the last but one 9th avataar.
Kalki avataar is the 10th avataar. There was a movie by the name Dasavataaram, (10 avataars), starring Kamal hassan.

Jafri Bhai I thought Dhzul Kiffl was Ezekiel, but yeah the Dzhul Kifl narrative is very simmilar to the story of Guatama Bhudha, in that he was a man who gave up worldly power for spiritual power.
I no nothing about Hindu Avatars but I guess heres an excuse to study… look out folks i’ll be back when i’ve found out some more on this.

Zakir Naik is a nice man, but he drops to low level many times in order to promote Islam. According to him, hindus text predict birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Why does he need to quote text from hindu books in order to promote Islam to hindus??
Just becoz some sentences in hindu books fit his agenda he promotes them as truth. If those books contain the truth why pick and choose things from these books? He picks and chooses as long they fit his agenda, and trashes the rest.

i saw zakir naik's website and his knowledge on other religions other than Islam is dreadful, he has no clue about hinduism, christianity and yet he compares and talks like he knows all.
the problem with that is that he's spreading misinformation about other religions which should be haraam and the biggest sin.
i mean i wouldn't want a hinduism scholar or a christianity scholar talking about Islam...would you? they would know zilch and zakir naik unfortunately also knows zilch about religions other than islam.

i’ve asked hinduism experts and even christianity experts if Naik ji’s knowledge is up to par and most all of them looking at his interpretations of the scriptures that he’s taken out of context have gotten angry.

Lol at this Zakir Naik discussion going on. I do not believe even sensible Sunnis should listen to such a disgusting man claiming Yazid is not the murderer of Imam Hussain (as). If he has his history messed up, you shouldn't listen to the other 'facts' he has.

I know this is off topic but Dr. Naik has been able to attract a lot of people to Islam just because of his public speaking style not because he is qualified in Islamic fiqh. He is not a Mufti who go through years and years of training in Arabic, then Quranic Arabic, then Islam, then Hadeeth, etc etc etc..These days anyone with a university degree in Islamic Studies and a good command over a couple of languages can stand on the stage and convince people.
I do not mean to put him down, for he has definitely done some great work, but let's put it this way, if I needed advice on an Islamic masalah, I'd much rather go to a proper aalim.
