if u watch B4U music they are currently showing the video of the song most of the times through out the day.....

why has it become so popular all of a sudden? especially when it was an old song, who's complaining it's a good song,

The song by Lata Mangeshkar, is from a forgettable/forgotten film “Jyoti” (not Joti)
(lyrics by Anand Bakshi, music by music by Bappi Lahiri. The film was directed by Pramod Chakravorty in early 80s’.

I think the samples used in the “Truth Hurts” are from the Cover/Remix album “Umi-10 Vol 3”, sung by other singers not by Lata Mangeshkar, coz I have the Vol 1 & Vol 2 of UMI-10 and all of them are covers by other singers..

Lata Mangeshkar Sues “Truth Hurts”

Anyone abroad could certainly not miss the current re-mix to one of the nightengale´s beautiful tunes.

The song “Resham Laghta Hai”, originally from the film Jyoti was re-mixed by an American R&B singer with the group “Truth Hurts”.

However, the musical group failed to acquire the rights from Saregama who are currently the holders of the original soundtrack of Jyoti. They also failed to ask Lata Mangeshkar for permission to feature her vocals in their song and music video. Lata Mangeshkar has recently officially filed a lawsuit with Saregama against the group.
