In 2007, I went to Kalar Kahar while returning from Islamabad. Its very near (less than 30 km) from M2 Motorway interchange named Kallar Kahar interchange. It has a little amusement park and a salt water lake. We also hiked a mountain to get a birds eye view of the lake :slight_smile: Very nice memories.

oh woww so pretty.. I went to school there but always underestimated the beauty of kallar kahar!

aww..thanks for this. my parent's village is just over the hill (45 min drive away) from Kalar Kahar. I've always loved the view and drive up and down from the moutain.

Thanks for comments. Yes its very beautiful and peaceful. Also boating in the lake is great experience.

is it the same lake which we can have glimpse of from motorway right near Lillah Interchange??? when going towards Islamabad, its on our left hand side????

when we went to khewra, we had a plan to visit Kalar Kahar as well, but could not due to tight schedule

I'm not really sure if it is the same lake. We accessed it thorough Kalar Kahar interchange. When going towards Khewra salt mines, we also used the Lilla interchange but I didn't spot any lake there. May be I was too sleepy..lolz

i have been to kalar kahar 2-3 times. its a nice place for picnic n students trips.

i had a nice trip with my ex-colleagues and still ve those pics but my ex-colleague who later mine :crying:
