Re: Kaka's crying
It's pretty disturbing. It's been a long time since I've had a care-free sleep. Plus in that first couple of weeks I barely slept more than 3-4 hours total in a day.
Who gets up depends on a number of factors. Is there work the next day? What was the previous day like? Some people take turns. Some people find it is best if the dad goes first (if mom goes sometimes babies demand being fed, even tho they aren't hungry). Sometimes baby only wants one parent so it doesn't matter who tries first.
Re: Kaka's crying
For the last couple nights I've only been getting 2 hours of sleep per night, that too broken. I am just so conscious about him waking up that I am becoming an insomniac myself. Just find it very hard to sleep even when he is sleeping cause I keep thinking he's gonna wake up any minute.
Shak if you are thinking of bringing a kaka into this world first make sure you are ready to give up your sleep. My free advice.

Re: Kaka's crying
After I stopped nursing, I am having such wonderful sleep MA, she sleeps and sleeps and doesnt get up (knock on the wood) .. before that it was sleep 2-3 hours and get up and then sleep and get up, I would be getting up even though she would just stir or change position.
But things do get better, hang on there.
