Earlier this year prime aired this drama series, Kahaniyan. Don’t know if you watched it or not but it was down right amazing, simply amazing. Directed by Mehreen Jabar the cast included the talanted Nadia Jameel and Sania Saeed pinned against Humunyun Saeed, Yasir Nawaz and a new guy Farooq (something). Every week it would be a new story revolving around the same cast and sometimes guest cast thrown in for the extra magical performence effect like Sameena Perzada and Marina Khan.
I’m a huge fan of short stories and was stunned to see something this amazing comming out from Pakistan. Some stories like Shanakht in which Yasir Nawaz is raised by Hijras and is struggling for his identity and Hadsa in which Marina Khan gets involved in a hit and run accident case were simply ingenious.
I finally found it on a VCD from a local music store and keep on playing the theme music over and over.
