Kaftan-style dresses

I find them so gorgeous and notice they’re becoming quite popular outside of Pakistan/India/Arab World.

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

oooohh I love berry/cranberry one (the first one!)

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

Me too! I love the peachy-coral one the middle lady is wearing. Since I'll be visiting Saudi Arabia soon, I think I might look there as well as if I get a chance to go to Dubai and see if I can these from there. They look so gorgeous and elegant!

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

My friend got me a ker-razy one from saudi when she went hajj, its similar shape to these but with a print all over, looks a bit too big for me to pull off though. i even considered wearing it with a waistbelt to cinch it a bit, but that'll kill the look :(

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

A belt would most definitely kill the silhouette since it would cut where the arms are. Maybe you can get someone to sew it tighter? The arms would be a bit longer but no harm done since the look is essentially the same.

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

They're stunning.. Royal Rickshaw does some really pretty ones as well..

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

Royal Rickshaw? :D

Post some pictures!

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

^I’ve just looked at their website (which didn’t exist before when I wanted to buy) and their prices are a bit ridiculous..

I’d fallen in love with this pink shaded one ages ago but may as well get just some shaded pink chiffon and have it made in Pakistan

Paris Hilton also wore a gorgeous mint green one in Dubai once..

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

I thought they were called abayas/jilbayas? But i love them!

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

OMG! The designs on their site are AMAZING! I think I will def. get them made in Pakistan, plus I’m sure I’ll find some non-designer available in KSA as well. I AM OBSESSED!

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

Love 'em.

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

love the first one!

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

OOh i remember the Paris Hilton one, although this one is much nicer!

Re: Kaftan-style dresses

Absolutely love them!

Deeba, those prices really are ridiculous :hayaa: They have some really pretty ones, but I would never pay that price for them

I’m collecting some designs to get them made by my tailor in Pakistan.. Let’s see if he’ll do a good job on them.
