Kafta Kabab

Found this recipe in my MIL’s old lipton cookbook and the kababs turned out awesome. Tweeked the recipe

1lb ground beef
1tsp black pepper
1tsp cumin
1tsp allspice (got it from an arab store- they make their own)
1 med onion finely chopped
parsley a fistful chopped
1-2 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste
1/4cup olive oil

Run the ground beef with olive oil in the chopper so it’s smooth. Add all the ingredients and mix them well. Refrigerate and chill. Make the kababs on skewers. Works best on the broiler. Keep turning it every 5-10 mins so they r throughly cooked. They were delish.

Re: Kafta Kabab

Thanks for sharing devilicious. One question though.. doesn't olive oil make the mixture too runny or is it ok?

Re: Kafta Kabab

nope it actually makes it juicier and binds it well. Refridgerating it helps but they were hard to handle but once u put it on a tray and leave it under the broiler, it doesnt break. Ours didnt :)
