kachi puki

The other day at home we were talking about old times and someone brought up how in Pakistan when someone asks in what class is your son/daughter, the reply would be ‘kachi’ or ‘puki’.

Is kachi = 1st
and puki = 2nd?

or is kachi = KG
puki = 1st?

Re: kachi puki

lol

I think it's the latter. Kachi is KG and puki is 1st.

Re: kachi puki

Sehar, you can't even speak punjabi, so I doubt you are credible enough to be taken seriously.

Re: kachi puki

I speak it better than you can, thats fo’ sure! :snooty:

Re: kachi puki

Kuchchi Pakki is also refered to home brewed liquor in Pakistan.
Also, I think that Sehar is right

Re: kachi puki

So I had it confirmed.

Kachi - is sorta like nursery. You go to school with ur older sib/cousin or gawandiyaN dey niyanay, and just sit in class, often with the kaapi/kitaab upside down.

Pakki - is KG, where u have a real admission to the school.

1st class - is fust klaas

Re: kachi puki

kachhi ,pakki :D

Re: kachi puki

isnt kachi for ages 3/4 and pakki 4/5. The two years in nursery before class one?

Re: kachi puki

hey
PUKI, had a different meaning in my Native language, it is female Sex organ (PUKU)

Re: kachi puki

^ :-/

and brewed liquor? And are there liquor out there that aren't brewed?

Anyway, I think Sehar is right. I will have to confirm it though by asking around some true Pakistanis.

Re: kachi puki

Sarcasm well taken, I said home brewed liquor (vs. commercially brewed one)
