I really don’t know myself but I assume kachi lassi would be just water and dahi (no added salt or sugar)
lassi is a good remedy anyway for heart burn. expecting mothers are often advised to have it for heart burn.
Re: Kachi Lassi?
it is gross...it is like fat free milk so if you are used to the taste of fat free milk, you won't have any issues.
do mangoes give heartburns?
Re: Kachi Lassi?
^ too much of anything can give you heart burn. I assume that people usually end up eating too much of mangoes and that why it causes heart burn otherwise it's a fruit not something which has mirch masala or oil in it .
I thought it would be just water and a li’l amount of milk. Actually I’m expecting and I eat alot of mangoes these days. I know it cant be harmful during pregnancy but I’m afraid if it causes heartburn or something like that. That’s why I asked about the kachi lassi that does it really help?
Re: Kachi Lassi?
okay when I was expecting I experienced the worse kind of heartburn
my obgyn prescribed a medicine for it and I couldn’t go to sleep properly without that syrup
anyway yes you can have lassi made with either dahi or milk to take care of your heart burn , it helps for sure !
mangoes or no mangoes during pregnancy you just get heart burn:teary1: esp in 2nd trimester
Re: Kachi Lassi?
When u add little milk in ur water its called kachi lassi...and when u add dahi, milk, water and little bit of salt or according to ur taste and put this mixture in the blender ...u get khatti lassi...
Re: Kachi Lassi?
noot sure what is the difference between kachi lassi and the regular one....but I have heard of it...
Mangoes are thought to be a 'garam' fruit and the kachi lassi is supposed to kinda nullify that...
similarly it is thought to be a good thing during extreme summers for hydration or something like that...
not sure though,I have just heard it ...
Re: Kachi Lassi?
diamond321: My second trimester went smooth by the grace of Allah. I had a bad stomach infection during my first trimester and also had bitter acidity. Now my HB is not at its normal level so I was told that I should start eating alo bukhara (plum), cherriers and mangoes, and I was also asked to have kachi lassi after having mangoes so here I got a lil confused. Thanks for the help ![]()
chips and radiant light thanks for clarifying my confusion
Re: Kachi Lassi?
from HB if you are referring to haemoglobin the best thing is to have fresh carrot juice and chukandar (beetroot).
my haemoglobin went down to 7.5 when my 3rd trimester started. I couldn't have iron tablets as I had some sort of allergy from it. I had fresh carrot juices not before giving birth but after that and it helped me a lot !
wish you a smooth pregnancy and delivery :)
