went to watch it cuz of Amitabh and Kajol - the only worthwhile actors in the movie. Kajol did a good job as she always does, Amitabh was just repeating himself from MohabbateiN and Ek Rishta, so I found it quite annoying for an actor his calibre to be doing the same role over again.
Given that I really liked KKHH and thought MohabbateiN was a decent one as well, this one sux bigtime. This year’s been exceptionally good for Indian movies - for someone like me who watches 3 or 4 a year, this year I’ve enjoyed Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Tum Bin and Aks. this one is nowehere in that list

Saw it yesterday. Considering all the bad reviews posted here, I was a bit apprehensive. However, after seeing the movie, it is a pretty decent flick.
So, ok, they borrowed many story lines from other movies, and songs were also taken from elsewhere, but the way was made is pretty slick.
As usual Shahrukh carried the whole movie very nicely. Hritik was nice too, although his role was very little. Amitabh was very stiff, much like Ek Rishta and Muahbattein.
In the girls department, Rani was pretty as usual. Kajol had a difficult role, where she had to come across as a joker in almost all scenes. Considering the role, she did ok. Jaya Bachan has become sooooo fat! Man, I couldn't recognize her. Her role was pretty straight forward.
The biggest problem of the movie was Kareena Kapoor. Almost all her initial scenes were very indecent. Minimal clothing and extreme over-acting. It was pathetic.
Except for the title song "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghamm", which was played in different formats atleast 12 times during the movie, I didn't care much for other songs (FFWD zindabad).
Movie is standard Indian length, approx 3 huors and 15 mins. All, in all, it was two bucks, worth spent.

I have seen this movie twice, and I dont use to see Indian movies that much. But it had a great realistic story distincting it from other movies, some cool songs, Kajol and Shahrukh...it really had it all, that is needed for a great movie.
Beyond all that, the story made you laugh and cry as well. One really finds out that family means so much but on the other sde one msut not let the family be the zalim samaj as well..
Overall a cool movie worth watching compared to Bollywood in general!
A good movie -without any fights.I saw it in theatre and also on a video cassette mfg in Pakistan,with advts and ads of pakistani movies.I enjoyed it.But lots of scenes were deleted in the Video cassette.
kajol’s acting was pretty good
