One of the worst movies I've ever seen, they could have ended it in one hour but they dragged it on and on, every1 in the theater was like plz end already.

Trust me...the storyline is alright, but they make it a hour and half longer than they shud of, by the ending came, every1 was like Thank God!

Two words for this movie - "Not Impressed"
... don't think that the 'bold theme' excuse is gonna cut it for the fans... it may be an awesome movie for the people that can relate to it (married ppl), but i can only feel for others who stood in lines to see this hyped movie.
usually, karan's movies are light in first half with some witty trend setter lines, this one was gloomy from the get go.... The movie runs in a parallel - Abhishek/Rani and Preity/SRK... it was awfully predictable... Big B's comedy scenes were forced. The songs were probably the only break that u'll look forward to... The star cast may make this movie a blockbuster, but it surely could be one of the movies Karan can be forgetful of.
plus points: Abhishek and Rani's performance, songs presentation, kajol, dhoom 2 and don trailers
minus points: predictable, long, didn't make enough sense, confused and hesitant effort, SRK wasn't as good as other movies...

I had a feeling this movie might be over-hyped... but then again, what can you expect from Karan Johar typical masala commercial flick - it may be worth watching on DVD so I'm gonna wait.
I think I might already have seen the only good movies slated for 2006, namely, RDB and Corporate.

I only had to read the storyline on ApunKaChoice to figure it was awful so I didn't go eventhough someone asked to take me to the first show. I'm glad I didn't go!

beautiul movie...im not surpised that many people dislike it. Its a bold theme, either you'll like or hate it. Its good Karan Johar made a movie on something different this time rather than his typical masala films. He has made a movie on a very bold subject....but the subject is something many people can relate to...and Ive witnessed similiar stories actually happen in real life...thats why I love the movie soo much...because whatever is shown in the movie does actually happen in real life....and the ending is something orthodox people would not like.

I saw the movie and here are my 2cents, its the twisted bollywood version of "Unfaithful" and nothing else, over all movie was okay and not that good as Hyped or advertised!

Actually, “Murder” was the Bollywood version of “Unfaithful.” Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna has the story line of “Closer”

I heard both the marirages get split up in the end in this movie...? That isn't "Closer" now is it? Heck Closer is more similar to "Silsila" which was made back in 1970's, cos cheating people return to their respective spouses in the end.

I went to see the movie, which personally I think was NOT that great, too slow, and way overhyped. The theme was bold, but I think the movie could have been a lot better than it was. With such an amazing cast you would think that there would be some great acting showcased, but that wasn't the case at all. Of all of the cast Shah Rukh Khan did the worst job. Abishek Bachan was a pleasant surprise, and was the only one who did a great job in his role. He is maturing into a great actor, and he is even getting better with his dancing skills. Rani was good in some scenes, but then in others, she seemed completely blank. Preity Zinta didn't have much of a role, but she did well with what she had. Amitabh was very good in his speech after the Rock 'N Roll song, as well as his expressions after he finds out about Shah Rukh Khan and Rani; the rest of his performance was ok. The 'cameo' appearances by Kajol, John Abraham, and Arjun Rampal didn't really add to the film--it just seemed like the typical Karan Johar tried and tested thing to add to the movie.
Overall, I would wait to see the movie when it hits DVD, or after all the crowds at the theater die down. I went to see the movie over the weekend, and the crowds were so inconsiderate--there was so much shoving and pushing just to get in the theatre, and then there were big fights about people saving seats inside.
Anyways, the movie was just so so, and was too overhyped. The review on indiafm that gave the movie 4.5/5 stars seems bogus, so do not fall for that! The reviewer must be some chamcha of Karan Johar.
