Would like to share a video of the legendry Mohammed Amin Jatt - the Pakistan kabaddi player. He is regarded as the legends of Kabaddi ranked alongside the likes Of Balwinder Singh Fiddu, Harjeet Brar, Sabah of India.
I was fortunate to see the great man in action twice playing for Pakistan against England i around year 91/92 in Birmingham and Coventry. He was part of awesome Pakistan kabaddi team, some of the players were offered considerable amount of money by the Sikh community to appear for their teams in England and in Canada where the sport is huge and subsequently played in these leagues. Some players such as Javed Janjua and Butt still play in the Toronto league including Pappu (green shorts in my avtar).
Seen plenty of players brought over from Pakistan to appear for the Birmingham and Bradford teams but no one matches him.
In the video he is older, slower due to problems with his knees and seems to have put weight on. However, when I saw him against England he was unbelievable and had unbelievable physique and agility.
In the video he is seen raiding but was also a brilliant stopper. He treated England team (made of Punjabi Indian/ Siks) who were also huge guys like kids and held English raiders like dolls. He was a regular visitor to England in the summer playing for Keighhley in Yorkshire and saw some of the matches he was involved with.
In this video he is playing for Pakistan against Canada in the 95 World cup Kabaddi tournament in Canada. Pakistan played some tough matches during the 95 World cup and were running out of the steam and lost the final to India.
