So we befriended this really nice Kacchi lady, she used to come over and help take care of my mom, she is an amazing lady and flourished thru adversity. She was raised in Kenya but has lots of relatives in Karachi. She came here by marriage to this abusive drunkard and soon got divorced. She gets really good support from the govt and they gave her a new apartment. She gets the stipend from govt and does some housework to make extra cash. My wife’s sister is a widow and we thought she could share an apartment with her and upon that suggestion, her sister went berserk with rage and said we insulted her by suggesting she lives with a Kamwalli. Today we invited the lady to spend a few days with us and made some lovely food for her including Puri chholay, bbq chiken etc. We couldnt invite my wifes sister for her disdain for the lady and I guess that was her loss. Why do some people have such arrogance?

narrow-minded people maybe or on the other hand sometimes being lonely people become v.touchy they think negative stuff…hence the rage…

Her other sister was like that also they needed our help and came to stay with us we had a Hindu lady who was the Mom of a friend stay with us and cook food for us and they refused to eat the food saying Hindus are paleet n stuff. We have dignity in labor here and even CEOs pitch in. After our corporate Lunch the CEO was helping in clean up.

What a sad state of affair…
I used to share same table at breakfast… when our kaam wali done with jaroo poncha… my mon gave her chai and paratha… while I also on table…
