Who are the people living in these areas.
Came across one interesting theory that these are people who migrated from Hejaz (after conquest of Makka), as they didn’t accept Islam.

Thats what I read in most of the books. But this theory is based on one of their tribal leader's claim that they came from Makkah after conquest by the Prophet.
Otherwise, their features are quite greek. Salman Rashid's 'Sindhya main Sikandar' may have answer to this.

I think the claim from a Kafir to be Arab came when he converted to Islam 
He said ‘hum jis cheez (Islam) se bhaage the, wohi hamare peeche peeche yahan tak aa gaya’. BTW, Abu Lahab had a quite European like features. Whenever I rad about his features, I remember the gora who played captain of ship in movie ‘Titanic’

Poor Hitler used to consider the Pashtuns/Iranians of Germanic stock, but lately every one wants to be considered as an Arab. Our Mir bhai used to consider Balochis to be Arabs as well. :) Off to order my Albakistan number plate. :)

Arabs themselves are quite mixed, as they are nearer Europe but a big proportion of the Saudis/Emiratis etc are a bit tanned.
