I missed the first 10 minutes or so i think. I got in when they were showing them being placed in the cold room.
I hope it gets better than this. The first episode was weak.
Hell, they're climbing mountains - the khi contestants didn't seem too...prepared...

rerun is coming on right now - too late now I guess, but for future reference it shows at 10:00 am’ish eastern time.
I like the host of the show - er guide or whatever - he’s sooooooo cute with his long curly california surfer locks and casual laid-back fashion.
I’m tuning in JUST to watch him.

I think the first episode was quite good. I’m surprised they are allowing a 17 year old participate. I thought there would be some sort of age restriction … at least I think there should be.
My mom thinks I would have done well on this show.

You know what I found interesting?
That one of the contestants came in wearing a shirt with a picture of a marijuana leaf on the back. The cute host caught it and asked him about it, and he said he hadn't seen the picture when he bought it ... he couldn't keep a str8 face.
I was like :o
This has to be added to my list of taboos that GEO is just bent on breaking.

I was surprised about the marijuana leaf but I didn't find it shocking. If anything, I'm glad GEO is showing what the highly-esteemed Pakistani youth are up to. It's not being swept under the rug. I believe the female judge is the host of Uljan Suljan. Am I right or wrong? Her show is quite good. How many Pakistani women do you see standing up and talking about the rise of HIV/AIDs in Pakistan? She covered that over two episodes of her show. Huge taboo topic but it is being discussed, which I think is a good thing ... gone off topic, I know.
My cousin works for GEO in their legal department at their Karachi office. She always tell me of the protests/mini riots that take place outside their offices ... usually caused by things they are airing.

well GEO is always hiring and since you will have an “amreekan” degree, I don’t think you would have any trouble finding a job there. I heard their karachi headquarter is really modern and sleek looking.

okay the second episode just aired. They've made their final decision on who will go on the expedition. I guess we will find out next week. That russian girl can't speak urdu which would've been fine but it seems like she can't even speak english properly. How will she manage?

okay they are finally on their way. They are not even properly into the northern area and the scenary already is breath taking. Pakistan is so damn beautiful. Oh by the way, am I the only one who thinks that the russian chick looks kinda cute. And the producer sahib has dreadlocks. Paki in dreadlocks.

they traveled through a highly dangerous area of karakorum. Rock slides are real common in that stretch of roads. By rocks, I don't mean pebbles, HUGE boulder size rocks coming down the side of the mountain. They haven't started their trekk yet. The episode ended with them being stranded on the road as there is a mud slide in karakorum.
