How many of you live in the Uk and have noticed cut backs in your local Policing?
I mean not just the cut backs in Police hours and staff operations. Where many stations across several constabularies are being closed earlier or not open at all on some days.
As well as this how has your local area been affected in regards to cutbacks on frontline officers? Have you noticed the rising numbers of very well trained but sometimes impractical or under equiped/powered CSO’s (Communit Support Officers)
Also what are your thoughts on the mass privatisation fo several police sectors, jobs that would normally involve police or HM government bodies( Such as Prison authorities and County Council bailiffs) are now dealt by private firms. Even simple matters such as transporting of prisoners, to the controversial detention centers run by private firms and the more alarming rise in private security companies taking over traditional police duties.
