yah I am.. its going to be really interesting to see what my children will turn out to be like. :)

now caste system I find it quite odd. I was talking to one of my friend who is so fixated on caste and generalizing everybody with the castes traits. It was quite frustrating to talk to her. Do many people have the same mentality nowadays that people should marry to similar caste?

The caste system is not as big a deal as it used to be, esp with the friends and fam where I am). To be honest, it only ever comes up briefly in terms of marriage, and even if the caste doesn't match it's really not a big deal with us.

But then of course, that's not to say other people won't place importance on it, I know people who are adamant that they will only marry someone of the same exact caste, and they hold some very elitist views about it, but that is their problem really.

I'm 5'4.. 164cm and my SO is 5'10 177cm...
so compared to giants yes our children will be tiny!

I just find it odd and I'm sure nobody will talk about castes with me lol. They'll be trying to figure out if I can speak English or not. I plan on pretending to not be able to speak English at all when I'm introduced to relatives but my SO has said no :<

You'd be surprised what people will want to talk about, they probly just haven't brought it up because they didn'tthink it's relevant to you. But if you did ask people i'm sure they'll tell you their views, it's not exactly a taboo subject so i don't see why not. The thing about caste is that its a very cultural issue, and not so much an islamic one, that's all.

Are you planning to meet his relatives in Pakistan? Or are they somewhere else?

I'm going to meet them in 2years..? lol.. thats extended relatives mind you
and I'll be meeting them the first at my wedding :)

I've talked to my in laws and we'll meet in Australia hopefully in may 2013. Everything is so far away but these things imo should be planned.. and it keeps me busy thinking about the possibilities..

I'm quite shy so I'm going to be smiling and clinging to my SO the whole time his relatives and friends come and say hi
