Just want to make sure..

About wudu/wuzu. It doenst’ expire right?

Breaking wind, going to the bathroom, and I think sleeping, those wud break the wuzu and u’d hav to do ti again.. but there’s no time limit to it right? Like if you don’t do any of that in six hours then ur wuzu is still valid haina?

Jus wanna make sure

Re: Just want to make sure..

^^ Yes it is.

Re: Just want to make sure..

Ok thanks :)

Re: Just want to make sure..

Even if you have doubt but don't remember if you have broken your wudu or not, your wudu is still valid unless you remember again.

Re: Just want to make sure..

reference plz…

i would think that if u have doubt that it would be best to do wudu…no?
afterall you can nvr have too much purification (ie wudu)

Re: Just want to make sure..

^ I think K is right, but I have no reference except ‘this is what I’ve been told by some people’. :bummer:

Re: Just want to make sure..

This morning I was reading fajar namaz when I remembered that I hadn’t done wudu :smack: so I stopped praying and started all over again..

Re: Just want to make sure..

I think if you are cut somehow and bleed, then too you need to make Wudhu again.

Re: Just want to make sure..

It is stated in Gifts of Guidance (‘al-Hadiyya al-`Ala’iyya), of Allama Ala’ al-Din Abidin:

Ritual ablution (wudu) is nullified by:

  1. Anything that exits from the private parts, even if it not customary such as a worm or stones.

  2. The flowing of any ritually impure substance (f: such as blood or pus) from a wound (f: or other opening) to any place that requires cleaning (f: i.e. it flowed beyond its point of exit), or if it came out with enough force to flow (f: but was prevent from flowing because it was wiped or absorbed by a bandage).

  3. Vomit that is a mouthful, such that one would not have been able to keep it in without difficulty, except if it is just phlegm. Vomit that is from the same motion (ghathayan) is considered together when determining whether it is a mouthful or not.

  4. Blood (B: from the mouth or throat) that overcomes one’s saliva or equals it (f: if closer to red, wudu is invalidated; if closer to yellow, it is not).

  5. The sleep of one whose rear is not firmly seated. As for the one whose rear is firmly seated, his ablution is not nullified by sleep, even if leaning against something in a way that if it were removed he would fall.

  6. Loss of consciousness.

  7. Madness.

  8. Drunkedness.

  9. The laughter of an aware adult person a prayer that contains bowing and prostration, even for the one praying by head motions alone. If the laughter occurs after the tashahhud, the ablution is nullified, though not the prayer.

  10. (Direct contact between an erect penis and the vagina of a desirable woman.

The ablution is not nullified by:

  1. Touching one’s private parts.

  2. Touching a woman.”

    Doubt?
**"Certainty is not removed by doubt"
**Imam Muslim (Allah be pleased with him) relates in his Sahih via Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "When one of you senses something in his stomach and is confused whether or not something exited, then let him not leave the masjid until he hears a noise or smells an odour."

"Our companions have said that there is no difference regarding doubt whether it is equally likely that one does or does not have wudu, or whether one of the two possibilities is more likely, or whether one is almost certain of one of the two possibilities: in every case, performing wudu is not necessary" (Nawawi on the commentary of teh above hadith.)

Re: Just want to make sure..

Not sure about the stones but what I can figure out is that some peaple tend to form stones in their stomachs (??) but what the case maybe “even it is not customary”..

Worm: Many asians (living there) tend to release worms in early age.. I did once when I was in Pakistan…it was a looong one.

Re: Just want to make sure..

Do you mean ringworm ?

Re: Just want to make sure..

^ i think cricketplaya is talking about stomach/intestinal (?) worms ..

Re: Just want to make sure..

These are parasitic worms that grow inside of the intestines from contaminated food or water.

you can google to find facts on that.

Re: Just want to make sure..

Thats very true if you don’t remember that you some how you have broken your wudu than your wudu is still valid.

But you know if you don’t remember that your wudu has been broken and you go ahead perform your wudu again you get more sawab (reward).

So the choice is yours.

Re: Just want to make sure..

How do you get more sawab? Source?

Re: Just want to make sure..

:hayaa:

Re: Just want to make sure..

You mean source for the swab? Thats Allah :swt:
