There's a Kutchi Memon society in Karachi and I had friend who was a Kutchi Memon...He doesn't even look like a Memon but more like a Baloch...
If that's the Kutchi you are talking about...

No, kutchi memon (we're sunnis). If you're talking about the khojas of kutch, they are related in blood to us - the difference (my theory) was a split due to religion.

Kutch is a region of Gujrat. A few hundred years ago Ismaili missionaries were very active in the region and a very large number of Ismailis originated from there.
