Here are some pics I took on my way to the mountain called Dam, near my house. Actually, in order to go up on Dam, first you have to hike up on a smaller mountain called grouse, hike for another mile or so, and then start a loop which takes you further higher to the top of Dam, and then comes down through a different trail.
I really haven’t been up this season this further up, so wasn’t sure what kind of conditions were up there, but it turned out to be quite favorable inspite of fresh new snow- something which brought me out on the first place. I wanted to come here in heavy snowfall, something I enjoy very much while mountaineering and back country skiing. Sort of gives the actual appreciation for the weather and the enjoyment which comes along with it…
I wish I could have taken more, but my camera ran out of battery somewhere in the middle, although, making up to Dam was no tedious at all..statyed there for half an hour, enjoyed a lite blizzard and came down..something to get me high for the remainder of the week..
this is sort of nearing the top of Grouse- the first half..
