Just Observed

:salam2:

That when any Muslim, make Islamic cartoon, dramas, films, movies etc., then it is widely liked, appreciated, remarked as great knowledgeable, but when the same Islamic movie made by any non-Muslim then procession/rally is taken places. Who will be withheld as responsible?

Being a Muslim, is such Islamic cartoon, dramas, films, movies etc., is allowed? Please share you views.

Note: Not targeting any Muslim/Non-Muslim just asking in general.

Re: Just Observed

Peace LKK

Please quote some examples of movies / cartoon made by Muslims which were appreciated and same by non-Muslims which attracted agitations?

Re: Just Observed

Peace Muqawwee,

Like I said earlier that my question is in general and I'm not talking about a specific cartoon, drama, film or movie made by a Muslim/Non-Muslim. I'll give you another example that 'we see many newspapers/magazines published in Pakistan always have a page where some Quranic verses/hadith or information related to Islam is written. Where does that newspaper/magazine go after finish reading? I think its goes to 'Raddi wala'. But if the same newspaper/magazine goes to a 'raddi wala' then it is considered as 'Toheen'.

That is what actually is my point of discussion.

Re: Just Observed

I had a similar question though. I have seen cartoons of the Prophet on various sites that are not very good. Why were only the Danish cartoons targeted.

My intention is not to hurt anybody. I am against hurting the religious sentiments of any community. It is just a question that I wanted to ask for a long time.

Re: Just Observed

Muslim don't have acceptance of such material as they believe portrayal of religious personality is not permitted in Islam.

I think its negative portrayal of religious personalities which attract agitation while they are made by biased non-Muslims. When they made movie ' The Message', it was not accepted by majority of Muslim countries. I don't remember the name, but a Muslim country didn't allow shooting in the country. But as the movie didn't have anything negative (indeed its well researched work), it got acceptability in the Muslim world over a short span of time and translated into many languages. Recently the movie was translated / dubbed into Urdu and was shown on Geo TV. There were some slogans on walls against such telecast, but didn't appeal majority to provoke agitations.
