just give me one good reason why shud I learn Algebra when i have to becum a cricketer?
noo its not me…its my weird student ppl who often asks me silly questions and he wants me to convince him to learn Algebra…
i hav seen number of weird students in my life…but he is above all…mey kia karoon???
my admin says if i 'll make him study maths he wud double my salary:D

for a beautiful shot, u need algebra to make one possible...u must know about, vectors, velocity and so on so forth...ilearned algebra to become a "glorified maali (gardener)] hehe

You don’t need algebra or any other kinda math…math sucks big time, even simple math is hard, it hurts my head :hinna:

although math sucked big time we had a ma’m who looked stunning and consequently no single guy wanted to flunk in maths at least…take a cue!

@ Rabika , Just go through this site you may find new ideas regarding maths
to your student ,
YOU will be Never able to satisfy him/her with your lectures , telling them importance of Math , as Math have so many sections which have their practical use in very later stages of studies
but still one have to study that.
Only way is to Teach them well (I donot suspect your teaching have flaws) involve them in simple problems and give them problems initially they can solve easily then go to complex problems.

i tell you wat…Alhamdullillah every grade except this one loves maths…no!the credit is not mine at all but phir bhi…i love to teach them …n i teach them in a very friendly way thast y they never bunk thr class Alhamdullillah…cuz i knoww that maths is a dry subject for most of us…i want to make it interesting for my every student…but this student is actually my favourite one lol he is sweet he is genious he is a good singer ,good cricketer lol but still he is so reluctant sumtimes that he asks me ma’am can i leave the class if i m disturbing you?lol he says that he knows the basic…what he thinks is important to learn he learns that…wat he finds unimportant he doesnt give it a damn…sumtimes he is the one who answers me first in maths class…but algebra? usey to bair hey is sey:bummer:

some days before one of our neighbour daughter in class 10 brought math to my wife to teach her
it were sets problems.
My wife asked me to explain to her.
I did
later on my wife asked "does these sets theory have some practical use ?"
"No , no use in practical life indeed, but , I was really happy , when I saw one subject at master level of Maths "sets theory" "
I know how important is Sets theory in abstract world of Mathematics.
like function could not be understand without Sets theory.
and

Substraction
Multiplication
that forms the Algorithm for Programing of Today's Microprocessors.
and you can go up with hirarchy of application of mATHematics.
