Not justifying it, but that could be among the reasons. Stereotypes about the various races. Feeling as though there would be little in common…even if the religion is the same. But then it’s not like Pakistanis mingle a “whole lot” with those that are of a similar race AND religion…ex: Arabs.

Thats what I thought was the reason and it didnt make me feel any better knowing that. :hinna:

^Why do you think that is though? And is it still the same here in the US? People living in the South are less open to diversity than those in the north?

Could it be due to industrialization? For example, the Northern US…Karachi/Lahore being more developed…therefore having greater global connections…hence greater tolerance for diversity? Or perhaps demographics…diverse groups migrating to one area of a country more so than others? Maybe a combination.

Maybe but I cant imagine snubbing someone that is looking for information because he is black. That is just an example of course.

Indians just seem to be more tolerant of differences and dont focus sooooooo much on things I find ridiculous like caste, skin color, etc.
